Introduction to Dutch Oven Cooking
Join us at Deer Lake Outdoor Center for an exciting, hands-on outdoor Dutch oven cooking class on April 12, 2025, where you'll learn the basics of Dutch oven cooking while enjoying the great outdoors! This class is perfect for individuals (18 years +) who want to explore the art of cooking with a Dutch oven over an open fire, or for experienced fans of Dutch oven cooking who are looking for new tips and tricks from our expert cooks Mike Kennedy and Jeanne Lewis. Whether you’re a backyard chef or planning your next camping adventure, this course will teach you how to create mouthwatering foods in a Dutch oven, focusing on outdoor cooking techniques.
Participants will learn about the Dutch Oven, how to choose the right oven for you, the different types of Dutch Oven cooking, how to cook with and care for your Dutch Oven, and most importantly have the opportunity to make a Dutch Oven meal themselves!
